Agenda

1. Beginning of Class: Review the upcoming Honoring Faculty Assignment and complete the Brainstorm Assignment.

   • Objective: To write a memorial article highlighting and celebrating the life and legacy of a beloved math teacher who passed away unexpectedly.

   • Lesson Plan

     • Introduction

       • You will write a memorial article for a beloved math teacher who recently passed away unexpectedly.

       • The article is meant to celebrate and preserve her legacy as a beloved teacher in the school community.

       • Writing this article is an opportunity to develop writing skills and pay tribute to the teacher.

       • Remember to write the article respectfully and professionally.

     • Brainstorm: Brainstorm Assignment →

       • Work with a small group of classmates to brainstorm ideas for your memorial article.

     • Interviews: Remembering Faculty (Homework) →

       • Use the interview questions provided by the teacher to conduct interviews with 2 students and 1 faculty member.

     • Compilation of Interviews: View and add to the Google Doc →

       • Compile all the interviews in a group Google Doc so everyone can access and use them.

     • Writing

       • Write a rough draft of the memorial article.

     • Feedback & Revision

       • Work with a small group of classmates to give feedback on each other's articles.
