   • Directions: Find one article in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Salt Lake Tribune. Identify the lead (first paragraph) of each article and complete the graphic organizer below.

2. Review the 5W’s and 1H slideshow.

3. Complete the 5W’s and 1H Twitter Activity.

   • Directions: View the tweets of some active news organizations (local media, CNN, The New York Times, NBC News, ABC News, Al-Jazeera, Huffington Post). Select three tweets that you think use the 5W’s and 1H effectively. First, copy and paste these tweets onto the Canvas discussion post. Then, identify the 5W’s and 1H for each tweet. Finally, post a link for the rest of the class to view the original tweet.
