Agenda
Create
Using your paper crane notes from the last class period, create a paper crane.
Reflect
Were you successful in creating a paper crane?
Why or why not?
If you succeeded in making the crane, why do you think you had such great success?
If you were unsuccessful, what could you have done differently (or what would you do next time) to achieve the desired results?
Focused Note-Taking: What Colleges Want
Essential Question: Which student characteristics are important to colleges?
Take Cornell notes on the presentation (above).
Begin the Academic Resume.
Play the College Admissions Game.
Place cards in a pile facedown.
Each player takes turns drawing cards, reading the scenario aloud, and moving the appropriate number of spaces as stated on the card.
The winner is the player farthest on the board when the period ends or who reaches college first.
Complete the reflection.
