1. Bell Ringer: Complete Who’s Who of the Russian Revolution.

   • Directions: Navigate the stations on the five important contributors to the Russian Revolution. Record each individual’s name, the role they played in the revolution, and give an opinion of their work or importance. Then, take a stand on where each person might stand in history.

2. Complete the “Main Characters” portion of the Animal Farm Character Organizer while you view the Characters & Symbols PowerPoint.

   • Directions: Complete columns 1-3 while viewing the Characters & Symbols PowerPoint. Then complete columns 4-9 while reading Animal Farm. You will turn this assignment in AFTER we have completed reading the entire novel.

   • We will complete these notes over 2 days.

3. Begin the Animal Farm: Chapter 1 Assignment. We will finish Part 2 (“Old Major’s Speech”) next class period.
