1. Continue the LWD: Essay.

   • (1) LWD Essay: Prompts & Thesis

     • Directions: Decide an essay prompt you would like to write on. Use the thesis sentence starter to help you write your thesis statement. You must get your thesis statement checked off before you can begin the next assignment!

   • (2) LWD Essay: Analysis

     • Directions: The activity below will assist you in writing the analysis for your body paragraph. First, find the evidence (quotes) from Long Way Down 📘that illustrates your argument from your thesis statement.

   • (3) LWD Essay: Graphic Organizer

     • Directions: Use (2) LWD Essay: Analysis to help you complete body paragraph #1. You will now use the graphic organizer to write the rest of your essay.

   • (4) LWD Essay: MLA Template

     • Directions: Copy and paste your final essay from (3) LWD Essay: Graphic Organizer into the MLA template. MAKE SURE YOU STICK TO THE FORMAT OF THE TEMPLATE (SAME FONT, SAME FONT SIZE, NO HIGHLIGHTING, NO BOLDING, ETC.). EVERYTHING MUST BE SIZE 12, TIMES NEW ROMAN, DOUBLE-SPACED WITH ONE-INCH MARGINS.
