  1. Please complete the 11/16 & 11/17 Bell Ringer.

    • Step One: Have one person share this Google Doc with everyone at your table.

    • Step Two: Assign each person at your table a photograph to view until all photographs have been assigned (some people may have to complete two).

    • Step Three: Write your name in the boxes below next to your assigned image.

    • Step Four: Then view the image and answer the questions that follow.

Complete the “Othering Notes” while viewing the “Othering Presentation.”

Please take a picture of pages 3 & 4 and upload them to Canvas! These notes will be scored separately from the rest of the Us vs. Them Packet.

Pages 5, 6, & 7:

Find one example of a personal, school, community, and national group. Write these on sticky notes and place them on the corresponding poster in the room.

After viewing your classmate’s sticky notes, reflect on this silent discussion on pages 6 & 7.

Take notes on Othering / classification / discrimination and write a thesis statement hypothesizing as to what creates an us vs. them mentality.
