3. Listen to “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” and complete the assignment.

   • Second Listen: Read and follow along with the speech (pages 2-5).

   • Third Listen: Complete “What Were Puritans Thinking?” As you listen to a sermon excerpt, draw or write what people in the Puritan congregation were thinking in the thought bubbles. Don’t forget their facial expressions! (page 6)

   • Work Time: Identify 10 specific lines from the sermon that contain figurative language (page 7).
