Group Activity: Does AI Have Knowledge? Is AI A Knower?
Directions: Your group’s task is to support an answer to these questions.
A: Yes B: No C: Yes, but… D: No, but…(We) Say: Write a thesis statement. This will probably require your group to define what it means to “have knowledge” or “be a knower.”
(They) Say, Metacommentary: Support it with at least two pieces of evidence per group member. Check out this wakelet full of resources for you to peruse!
Each group will present. As you listen to these presentations, jot down notes on which pieces of evidence you think best support each side.
Four Corners: Pick a Side. Based on the arguments presented by your classmates, stand by your answer to the question: “Is AI a knower?”
Exit Ticket: Explain which particular piece of evidence you think was the strongest support for the claim in the “corner’ you chose. Get specific on what makes that particular piece of evidence convincing and exactly how it supports the claim being made.
